Truck burns and explodes on my running route!

What an interesting run this morning. On my last loop, I hear fire trucks and they sound like they are getting closer. About .3 miles ahead I see smoke and a loud Kaboom. A few seconds later another explosion, I stop dead in my tracks trying to think fast what the heck is going on. As I get closer and over the hill, I see it is right at a 3 way stop and a vehicle is on fire, huge clouds of smoke, omg. I have no choice but to keep going since home is just .2 miles ahead. My lungs and throat really hurt right now. Anyone else have anything interesting like this happen on a run or walk?

Wrong place, wrong time..
Normally wouldn't be running at 6 am on Thursday but today I headed out early before my husband headed to work....because my 6 year old is sick again. So no school for him.

Do you have any interesting stories to share about outdoor exercise.

So far, I have encountered one live skunk on a trail, one small snake on the sidewalk, 2 dead skunks on the side road, and a burning truck. :)
